Wire Confirmations

The Connect Wire Confirmation API returns SWIFT wire transfer confirmation details for an international wire Payment, in the MT103 format banks use for wire confirmations.

When is a wire confirmation available?

Only for Payments sent by international wire. Domestic US/PR wires and CAD-to-CA wires (treated as domestic) don't have a wire confirmation.

Retrieving a wire confirmation

Call GET /payments/{id}/message-types/SWIFT_CONFIRMATION with the Payment's payerId as a query parameter:

GET /payments/{id}/message-types/SWIFT_CONFIRMATION?payerId={payerId}

The response includes:

Field group	What it covers
Payment details	Settlement amount and currency, value date, FX amount and currency (for non-USD wires)
Ordering customer	The Payer's name, address, and source account
Beneficiary	The Recipient's name, address, account, and email
Beneficiary bank	The Recipient's bank name, address, and SWIFT/BIC code
Wire tracking	The wire's unique end-to-end transaction reference (UETR), when available
Remittance information	Payment memo details passed along with the wire
